Call 811 or 1-800-242-8511 to determine if there is anything underground that you should be looking out for.
Rules and Info
- Call a minimum of 3 days in advance before digging in order to allow time for everything to be located.
- Maintain a minimum of 18” of clearance (to the left & right) of all marked utilities. If you have to dig in that area, dig by hand.
- Beware of the surrounding area that you are digging in. Is there a light pole nearby, but no electric lines marked? Don’t dig. That power has to come from somewhere.
